Happy start-of-pumpkin-spice season,
This is a big day in my authorly life milestones: today is the cover reveal for Wishes, and if you’re anywhere on social media (I’m Brittany Eden on Facebook and @brittanyedenauthor on Instagram), I would love if you could like and share my posts! Click here to see the cover!
Here’s what people are saying about the book:
“Charming and inventive, Wishes offers a romance that tiptoes between reality and fairytale. A smart, heartfelt retelling perfect for fans of Kiera Cass and Melanie Dickerson!” – CAROLINE GEORGE, author of Dearest Josephine
“Fans of Nadine Brandes, CJ Redwine and Sara Ella need look no further than Brittany Eden for their next ultimately poetic and utterly immersive read. True magic! Eden writes with one of the most naturally talented voices I have read in years!” – RACHEL MCMILLAN, author of The Mozart Code and The Castle Keepers
“Enchanting and unique, Eden's prose in Wishes is a paintbrush, creating a masterpiece depicting grief and sorrow and how love can overcome them in time. By carefully combining two beloved fairytales—Cinderella and Pinocchio—Eden has written a beautiful novella that will capture the hearts of readers, young and old.” – V. ROMAS BURTON, author of the Heartmaker Trilogy
"Wishes is a beautiful glimpse into the fairytale world Eden is creating with her Heartbooks series. It is filled with such poetic prose and wonderful little hints of the familiar stories from which it drew inspiration. I believe fans of The Selection Series and all things Cinderella will find this an absolutely lovely story of romance, royal intrigue, and overcoming loss." - TABITHA CAPLINGER, author of The Wolf Queen
“Wishes—this book had my heart from beginning to end. The writing as beautiful as poetry and as stirring as a timeless classic, I couldn’t not fall in love with this beautifully moving story. I adored this book and absolutely cannot wait for future releases by the author. It’s five glowing stars from me.” - CAITLIN MILLER, author of The Memories We Painted
If you want to join my street team to be involved in these sorts of things (cover reveals, reviewing my book, talking about my books on release day, sneak peaks of my first draft writing shenanigans, having fun, etc) then click this link to join my street team! Pre-orders for Wishes are not yet up, but when they are (likely in time for my Autumn email) I will share all those details because there absolutely will be pre-order gifts.
I’ve been this strange mix of humbled and way too excited today with all the shares and endorsements.1 However, being absolutely real, the thing I must do immediately after sending this email this evening is sit down2 and write for half an hour at least without my phone nearby. I do this everyday to get new words on the page and make sure that I continue the habit of writing, working with fresh ideas and stories. I want to make this whole author-thing a career, and to do that, I always need to have a new story ready to go, so the actual writing (which is my favourite thing anyways) cannot be forgotten!
Tea-drinking in the most authorly fashion,
From Eden To Eternity,
Brittany
P.S.: In deep writing of first-draft mode, I’ve been listening to a lot of either Songbird by Alex Ffrench or Overture from the Extraordinary Attorney Woo OST or O Lord, You’re Beautiful by Chris Tomlin and Steffany Gretzinger, which to sum up means that my ambient music depends on the scene. Mostly tense dialogue right now at the midpoint of this draft, which I very much enjoy, smirk.
P.P.S.: I finished #alchemyofsouls and there’s a season two now, so just YES. If you want to try a K-Drama and don’t know where to start, I’ve seen a bunch of really great ones of different genres (fantasy, romcom, drama) that I’d be happy to talk your ear off about the episodic storytelling and endless soapy-eyed moments and and fashion and music—the music!3
One of the highlights being a literal, real-life, delicious-looking-but-in-another-country-cake from my friend and author Kaitlyn Carter Brown. She has a book releasing likely next year from Uncommon Universes Press called Queen of Shifting Sands but she moonlights in cover reveal cake awesomeness and it’s just the funnest thing ever. Check my Instagram to see highlights from that and all the other wonderful posts!
Grabbing a cup of tea is included in the process of sitting down, lol
Just a reminder that if you haven’t taken advantage of my custom playlist form, you absolutely should!
